I have been working at Cosmopolitan Medical Communications since 2004. Like everyone else, I started off on the phones, learning the ropes of the industry. I enjoyed working at Cosmopolitan from the get-go. The schedules are flexible, the culture is incredible, and the benefits are numerous.
A large number of our Team Members, me included, are students so it important that our work schedule is congruent with our school schedule. This has never been a challenge, which is no small feat considering the variety of schedules in play. I have never felt that being a student has been an inconvenience to Cosmopolitan. In fact, a few years ago I was awarded a scholarship from the Startel National Users Group (S.N.U.G.), which is available to Team Members annually.
The culture here is extremely supportive and team-oriented. We have very high performance standards but you never feel as they are unachievable. If a Team Members is ever struggling with a concept or skill set, everyone pitches in to help them back on track. Folks here are more like family than simply co-workers and we all want one another to succeed. Moreover, Cosmopolitan does its promotion from within so we all know that exceptional performance will open doors. There are several Team Members that have turned working on the phones into a career in others areas of the company.
The benefits at Cosmopolitan are abundant. For our operations Team Members, there are individual and peer-to-peer recognition’s, as well as cash bonuses for attendance and achievement and over-achievement of performance measurements. All Team Members enjoy three weeks of paid time off per year and PPO medical, dental, and life insurances. We also have a 401k plan and profit-sharing available to all Team Members, which gives all of us a vested interest in our success.
