How Cosmopolitan Reached Our Goal!

Our fundraiser has finally come to an end and I’m happy to announce that we surpassed our goal of $3,500 and brought in a total of $3,848 for the Susan G. Komen foundation! Since it was such a worthy cause, we offered several ways to help raise money for the charity.  First we offered $3.50 for each “like” we received on Facebook (the dollar amount, of course, in honor of our 35th anniversary).  Additionally, during our 35th anniversary casino night extravaganza, we allowed people to make donations to the charity in order to receive additional chips.  What most people appreciated though was the option to pay $1 each day and be able to wear jeans or shorts to work, and Fridays were flip flop Fridays!  During the extreme heat of the Arizona summer, this was an exciting option that many of our Team Members found hard to resist.  When asked what effect the casual attire had on our staff, Cassandra S. said, “You could definitely notice a more positive energy from the Operations Room.”  With Cosmo matching the money raised by these daily Team member donations dollar-for-dollar, the money really added up. Rachel I. said “I’m so happy they decided to go with Susan G. Komen, and I’m proud of the money we raised.”  Zach P. agreed, stating “I’m so glad that I was able to help out such a noble cause and contribute to the Susan G. Komen foundation.  It’s ironic that something as simple as wearing shorts or sandals made me reflect on the positive impact that others may experience as a result of our donation, which was generously matched by our Employer.”   As many of our Team Members come from families touched by breast cancer, we are so pleased to have taken on this fundraiser in order to support such a worthy cause.  We would like to extend a huge “THANK YOU” to all of the Team Members who helped participate in making this fundraiser so successful!
