A Look at Our History

Cosmopolitan Medical Communications was founded in 1976 with the focus of positive person-to-person interaction first and foremost in mind. Thirty years ago there was a well-defined need for a competent all-in-one medical answering service company in the Phoenix area. The basis of this need was quickly redefined to go above and beyond traditional expectations. We believed from the start that our clients’ needs and modes of operation should define our services, not the other way around with the needs of the community having to conform to what was offered. Excellence through Execution The needs of the medical community are of the most utmost importance; both patients and doctors rely on us relaying messages and pages via various forms of communication in an urgent manner, however we realize that time is not the only element in play. The communication must be patient-sensitive on both ends and fully complete. A hurried message is of no benefit to either party if the information is lacking or the execution is crude. Constantly Growing, Never Complacent This challenge was met with rapid and growing success that continues as we move forward in our fourth decade as a family-owned business with the functionality of a well-oiled machine. The two keys to our continued success through the years has been an emphasis on the people of our organization and staying on top of current technology. When we began, land-line telephones were the only way to communicate with doctors on urgent manners. We quickly adopted our techniques and policies in the 1980’s to include beepers and faxes, and now pride ourselves on our ability to instantaneously communicate vital messages via cell phone communication, email and even instant messaging. As technology develops in both the communications and medical fields, we keep examining the preferred ways of patient-doctor communication and implement the best practices we find. Avoiding the status quo and complacency makes us the company to rely on when communication is of the most immediate need.
